By using AmmoniteID, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe upon the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment of the service.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
Subscription pricing: £2.99/month or £19.99/year (billed in GBP).
Payment: Processed securely via Stripe. Your payment method will be charged automatically on your subscription renewal date.
Cancellation: You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. No refunds for partial months or years.
Refunds: Refunds are issued at our discretion for billing errors or service failures. Contact support via the app for requests.
When you submit a fossil for expert review, you upload a photo to our server. We will review and respond with feedback. After review, the photo is deleted from our servers unless you request we keep it for records.
Expert review responses are for reference only and do not constitute professional appraisal or authentication.
AmmoniteID owns all content, software, and materials. You may not reproduce, distribute, or transmit any content without permission.
You retain ownership of photos and identifications you create. By submitting them for expert review, you grant us permission to view and respond to them.
AmmoniteID is for educational and hobbyist use only. Fossil identifications are AI-assisted suggestions, not professional appraisals or scientific identifications. Always verify results with scientific literature or a professional paleontologist. We are not liable for incorrect identifications or decisions made based on the app's results.
AmmoniteID is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the last 12 months.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in illegal activity, or abuse the service. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
